IFC & Local Fraternity Recruitment

IFC & Local Fraternity Recruitment 

Fraternity recruitment is held twice a year, at the beginning of both the fall and spring semesters. The fall semester is reserved for upperclassmen and transfer students with at least 12 Baylor credit hours at a 2.67 cumulative GPA or 24 transfer hours from an institution of higher education at a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Freshmen students wishing to participate in spring recruitment must have completed a minimum of one semester in residence at Baylor University as a full-time enrolled student (12 hours) and meet the above GPA requirement.

Fall 2025 Recruitment for Upperclassmen & Transfer Students

Registration opens on May 1st, 2025 and closes on September 14th, 2025 at MIDNIGHT. 

***DO NOT REGISTER if you are an incoming freshman(1st - year student). You will register for spring recruitment later in the semester/next spring.

                                                                                                                                             

Step1:Register through ICS by September 14th.
Step 2:Pay the registration fee, $30 by September 14th. 
Step 3:Complete the online Risk Management Training & Sign the Fraternity Participation Agreement.

The Fall recruitment schedule

  • Formal Recruitment - August 25th - September 14th | Includes Interviews; contact chapters for specific event details

  • Bid Day - September 18th | Extend Bids 9am-12pm | PNMs Accept Bids 1pm-4pm in Baines - SUB 2nd Floor | Fountain Mall Celebration 1-4pm


ICS Registration 

The first step to successfully registering for recruitment is to complete the ICS form. The link below will open on May 1st and close on September 14th, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Registration is required for eligibility checks by FSL Staff and the ability to participate on Bid Day.  At the end of the form, you will be taken to the payment link. Please be prepared to pay when you get to the link.

**You are strongly encouraged to meet as many chapters as possible, as well as keeping an open mind.**


MANDATORY Risk Management Training 

All PNMs going through the recruitment process are required to complete the online modules to be eligible to receive a bid. The online modules will open on August 26th and close September 15th. Specific links will be sent to PNMs directly once you are registered.


Appeal Process

Students who do not meet the academic and/or credit hours requirement have the option to appeal to the Department of Student Activities. All appeals will be reviewed and responded to before bid day. The link to appeal is located below. It opens on May 1st, 2025 and closes September 14th, at 11:59pm. Review of appeals is a rolling process; once received the committee will review, communicate the final decision to individuals, and appeals are final. In order to access the Appeal form you must be logged into Connect.

Bid Day

Bid day is the official end of the recruitment process. This special time gives fraternity chapters a chance to celebrate and extend bids to eligible young men. Bids will be extended to eligible individuals on Thursday, September 18th, from 9am-12pm. IFC and local chapters will host PNMs on Fountain Mall after their acceptances. Please contact chapters for specific event information.

**Please note that bids are not guaranteed. FSL staff do not interfere with chapter bid selections. FSL staff only communicate GPA & hours eligibility.**
