IFC & Local Fraternity Recruitment
Fraternity recruitment is held twice a year, at the beginning of both the fall and spring semesters. The fall semester is reserved for upperclassmen and transfer students with at least 12 Baylor credit hours at a 2.67 cumulative GPA and 2.0 current GPA or 24 transfer hours from an institution of higher education at a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Finally, to be an active member in any organizations, members are required to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.33 and current GPA of 2.0.
Freshmen students wishing to participate in spring recruitment must have completed a minimum of one semester in residence at Baylor University as a full-time enrolled student (12 hours) and meet the above GPA requirement.

ICS Registration
The first step to successfully registering for recruitment is to complete the ICS form. The link below is open and will officially close on Sept. 10th, (late fee will incur Sept. 7-10th). Registration is required for eligibility checks by FSL Staff and the ability to participate on Bid Day. At the end of the form, you will be taken to the payment link. Please be prepared to pay when you get to the link.

MANDATORY Risk Management Training & IFC 101
All PNMs who accept a bid on Sept. 17th are required to complete online Risk Management Training before September 13th. Please see specific training requirements below.

IFC 101 is an in-person informational session for potential new members hear from the Interfraternity Council and Staff Advisor. We will present an overview of the process, time and financial commitments, important dates and deadlines. It is not required, but HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.

Appeal Process
Students who do not meet the academic and/or credit hours requirement have the option to appeal to the Department of Student Activities. All appeals will be reviewed and responded to before bid day. The link to appeal is located below. It opens on June 1st, 2026 and closes September 10th at 11:59pm. Review of appeals is a rolling process; once received the committee will review and communicate the final decision to individuals. In order to access the Appeal form you must be logged into Connect.
All appeals are final.

Bid Day
Bid day is the official end of the recruitment process. This special time gives fraternity chapters a chance to celebrate and extend bids to eligible young men. Bids will be extended to eligible individuals on Thursday, September 17th. IFC and local chapters will host PNMs on the Stacy Riddle Lawn after their acceptances with food and games. Please contact chapters for specific event information.
**Please note that bids are not guaranteed. FSL staff do not interfere with chapter bid selections. FSL staff only communicate GPA & hours eligibility.**
