Our organizations are proud to help contribute to such a unique and meaningful part of the life of the university. Rooted in virtues like compassion, responsibility, integrity, and service this community is deeply connected to Baylor’s mission and values. Because of this close alignment, students who find membership in a fraternity or sorority at Baylor have the opportunity not only to be part of and serve organizations that are much larger than themselves, but to serve at a place that simultaneously encourages them to do the kind of inner work that develops character and purpose.  

We have found that membership in a fraternity or sorority positively impacts a student’s sense of belonging and purpose and there are a number of ways that these organizations help contribute to that. Through meaningful relationships, strengthening a commitment to organization and university values, helping students construct an individual philosophy of leadership, developing leadership skills, and learning to embrace diverse and sometimes divergent perspectives, fraternity and sorority students are better equipped to lead their peers and serve the common good.
