Councils
Our Fraternity and Sorority Life community has a total of 36 active chapters. Three chapters (two fraternities & one sorority) are unique to Baylor University while the others are part of larger inter/national organizations. Our community is embedded in the overall culture of campus through All-University traditions like Pigskin, Homecoming Parade, Royal & Pure Homecoming Stroll-Off, Sing, and chapter specific events like Howdy, Fright Night, Haunt, Chili Cook-off & Bed Races, Christmas on 5th Street, and Jubilee.

Local Organizations
Baylor is also home to several Greek organizations that are unique to Baylor University. At one time, all of Baylor's Greek organizations existed as "local social clubs." Today a number of Greek organizations have chosen to remain local. Baylor's Local Greeks are not members of a governing council. These organizations are unique in their missions - to serve Baylor University. They are similar to other Greek organizations with their emphasis on scholarship, service to others, leadership and friendship.
