IFC 101

IFC 101 is an in-person informational session designed to help potential new members learn more about the Interfraternity Council (IFC) recruitment process and what it means to join a fraternity community. During this session, attendees will hear directly from members of the Interfraternity Council and the Fraternity & Sorority Life Staff Advisor, providing an opportunity to gain accurate information and ask questions before recruitment begins.

Presentation will cover:

  • The structure of the recruitment process

  • Important dates and deadlines

  • Eligibility requirements

  • Expected time commitments

  • Financial obligations associated with membership,

  • The overall fraternity experience.

Participants will learn about the values, expectations, and opportunities available within the IFC community, including leadership development, academic support, service, philanthropy, and brotherhood.

In addition, IFC 101 offers students an opportunity to ask questions; our goal is to ensure that every potential new member has accurate information and feels prepared to make an informed decision about joining the IFC community.

While attendance at IFC 101 is not required to participate in recruitment, it is highly encouraged for all students interested in joining an IFC fraternity. Students who attend will leave with a better understanding of the recruitment process, membership expectations, and the resources available to help them make an informed decision about fraternity membership. Whether you are certain you want to participate or simply exploring your options, IFC 101 is an excellent first step toward finding a fraternity experience that aligns with your goals, interests, and values.
